The Great Arthur Ashe

On 10 Born July was 1953 Arthur Ashe, the first African American player to play tennis. Ashe began playing tennis at the age of 6 years. IN 1963 Age was the first African American player will win the U.S. Men's Hard Court Championship and the first to be named the to a U.S. Junior Davis Cup. He was the NCAA singles and doubles champion leading UCLA to NCAA titles in 1965.
