The following is a list of a number of events are held, all on Long Iceland for the benefit of our beloved seniors!

1st For the seniors who are not afraid to do something a little different, the town of Oyster Bay ballroom dance instruction for residents 60 years and older. Classes are held at the William P. Bennett Hicksville Community Center every Monday at 10 clock. It is a great way to learn something> New, have fun and stay active!

2nd The Tanner Park in Copiague Senior Center is a great place for seniors to go with friends or meet new people their age. Opening times: Monday-Friday 9-4pm they have card games, table games, bingo, billiards, lunch, arts and crafts, and other specially scheduled programs! The Tanner Park Senior Center is to forge a great place for seniors and keep their minds sharp!

3rd If you want to stay active, but that social dancingis simply not for you then the Rainbow Senior Center in Lindenhurst could be! They offer flex and stretch classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11 clock. This class is designed specifically for seniors, so do not worry it is too intense!

4th The Rainbow Senior Center is also the Arts and Crafts Club. A place to share and discuss ideas, crafts, Monday and Wednesday from 10.00 bis 02.00 clock.

5th Another great place for seniors is Golden Opportunities at the Senior Community Service Center in GlenCove. They offer a variety of different activities such as tours, guest speakers, social boy, motion and bridge! Membership is for residents and guest membership for free Nassau County seniors!

6th And for all the men out there who simply have no interest in playing at the Bridge with the ladies, the Plainview Senior Housing Facility at the North Shore Men's Club! A social club for men only 60 years and older.

7th There is also the "For Men Only" club at the Samuel Field YM& YWHA in Little Neck. The "For Men Only" club is a discussion forum open to men over the age of 80, open daily from 14:00 clock clock bis 15.00.

As you can see, there are many activities on Long Iceland for seniors to stay active in retirement. There are a lot of fun and had a lot to meet new people! Before you know it, you could plan your own trip with your new friends!
